Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. Will you play song requests from our guests?
A. Yes, provided you (the client) are happy for us to take requests from your guests then we are happy to honour these requests.
Q. When do we pay?
A. A non-refundable £50 deposit is required within two weeks of booking your event. However, the remaining balance can be paid in cash on the night, or in advance by cash/cheque. Please note that the balance must be cleared before we are able to commence the entertainment for the event.
Q. What if I want to extend the playing time on the night?
A. Provided that this is alright with the venue operators then this isn't usually a problem so long as you let the DJ know before the event is due to finish. The additional time will be charged at a fixed rate and must be paid for before the extra playing time commences. Please note that you may incur an additional charge for room hire from the venue operators.
Q. Do you require access to the venue before/after our event to set-up?
A. Yes, we will need about 60 minutes to set up. However, this varies by the type of the event and the quality of access to the building (i.e. steps). We'll also need approximately 40 minutes to pack away.
Q. How Do You Dress?
A. We will always endevour to dress appropriately for the occasion, whether it is black tie, suit or smart casual. Your needs are our priority.
Q. Are children welcome at your functions?
A. We welcome children at our events provided that they are permitted by the venue operators. However, we would request that you ensure that children do not play with our equipment.
Q. How much do you usually charge?
A. This depends on several factors such as the date & time, the venue location, the amount of equipment we need to use, how many guests are coming and transport costs. For an accurate quote, please contact us. We have structured several packages to ensure that our clients always get a balanced mix of affordability, reliability and great entertainment. We are sure that there will be a package to suit you!
Q. Why don't you list your prices online?
A. In order to ensure that we offer competitive prices that are inline with what you have planned on the night, we give individual quotes to each client that gets in touch with us. By listening to your needs we can ensure that you aren't overcharged and that you're getting the best value for money. Furthermore, the cost of our entertainment services vary by location, date, time and type of event!
Q. Will you still be in business if I book in advance?
A. With recession looming and business' constantly going out of business, this is a very important question. You can rest assured that Domain Music is here to stay, and we have a very successful track record!
